A message from Univera’s Chief Scientific Officer

You've been directed to this Web site for technical and/or clinical information. We are delighted to provide this in a format that complies with FDA and FTC regulations. Importantly, this requires care on our part and cooperation from you.

As you will see, the site is divided into two sections; the Technical and the Clinical. All are welcomed to use the technical side. You’ll find a convenient search function and index features to help you locate the information you desire. The clinical side, however, is available to LICENSED HEALTH PROFESSIONALS ONLY.

This is not our rule. The FDA allows us to share clinical information only with primary health care providers. This is defined as a health professional who is licensed by the state where they practice. Thus an MD, DC. DDS, RN or NP will only need to register to receive an access code for the clinical site. Simply click on 'Request an Account' at the top of this page.

For health care professionals in the United States:

  1. Complete the registration online at univerascience.com by clicking on 'Request an Account.'
  2. In the 48 to 72 hours after you have registered, you will receive your password unless more information is needed.

For health care professionals in Canada:

  1. Complete the registration online at univerascience.com by clicking on 'Request an Account.'
  2. Fax your license to 360-486-7503 (This is a secure e-fax).
  3. In the 48 to 72 hours after you have registered, you will receive your password unless more information is needed.

In addition, most states license Registered Dieticians (RD), Acupuncturists (LAC), Naturopaths (ND), and Physical Therapists (PT). In general any state-licensed health professional who treats patients falls in this category.

What about certified health professionals, such as nutritionists, herbalists and massage therapists? According to FDA, these health care professionals see clients, and do not have a doctor/ patient relationship.

While it may seem like splitting hairs, the dividing line makes sense, in that the FDA acknowledges that primary health care providers need clinical information in order to give best care to their patients.
